Arriving at the Haunted House and Getting Inside
First, click on the promotion on the Poptropica Map to travel to the Haunted House. You’ll arrive in the graveyard. Run over to the left to get to the house and then jump up on it until you see the bat. You need to jump around and catch the bat to get the key from him. This is your first item. Once you have the key, go to the far left to unlock the cellar door and get inside.
The Cellar
You’ll get the first item you need here in the cellar. The first thing you need to do is connect the boiler to the furnace by rotating the pipe pieces. It’s a very easy puzzle if you work in one direction. I did it backwards from the boiler to the furnace. Once it’s connected, jump up on the steam coming from the boiler to get on top of the platform to get the draught, which is your second item.
The House
There are a bunch of items to get inside the Haunted House. Here’s how to get them all.
Pick Axe and Ice
To get the ice, open the refrigerator and then go up to the knight statues on the next floor. One of them is holding a pick axe. Jump on his head to get him to drop it then pick it up and use it to chip the ice out of the refrigerator. These are your third and fourth items.
Lantern
This part is a little tough. Go all the way up to the bedroom on the top left and click on the clocks on the mantle. You want to synchronize both clocks so that they strike midnight at the same time (when the skull heads pop out). When you place the cursor over one of the clocks, it speeds up. So you can keep switching between the two so that they’re at the same time. If you do it right, both clocks will strike midnight and you’ll get the next item.
Chalice
Now we need to get into the attic. To do this, go over to the right where you see a spider on the floor. Click on it to make it drop down over the painting of the witch with the broomstick. She’ll drop the broomstick, which flies. Now go jump on it and you can fly around the Haunted House. Fly back upstairs and through the hole in the ceiling to get inside the attic. On the left side is a chest. Open it up to play a slider puzzle. Watch carefully, because all you need to do is reverse the moves the game makes in the beginning. If you play close attention, this puzzle is very easy to do! Congratulations, you’ve got the last item!
Light the Lantern
Go all the way back down to the cellar and click on the barrel of kerosene under the stairs to light the lantern.
Speak to the Cat
Go back to the main floor and speak to the ghost cat. He’ll tell you to go outside where the cherub cries. Head back out of the house and find the statue of the little girl crying. Look under the large desk drawer to see it is screwed in
Turn left
Look between the first 2 cabinets -- get the key
Look between the middle cabinets and see a cord you can’t reach
Turn left and see a TV without a cord
Turn left and see your friends and a padlock
Use the key to open it
Talk to the boy and click his text to read it all
He offers you tools -- this is an escape game so ask for the trusty screwdriver
He’ll offer you a coin
Ask for the coin and turn to the desk drawer -- unscrew it with the coin
Get the plans and see the tools you used in the last games
Also note it says the password is something from the second game divided by 3
Ask the boy for the pole and film
Turn to the cabinets and get the cord using the pole
Turn to plug in the TV
Facing the TV, select the spinning matrix and see the remote hidden behind it
Note the matrix is a time machine that will let you go back and play the other 2 games in this series (they open in an new window)
Use the remote on the screen and see a clue for the last code
Look at the film (from the second game) -- read the numbers on the film and divide by 3
So it is 74613/3 = 24817
Enter this as the computer password
Click the blue rectangle and then click the yellow shape to enter the computer
It will ask you for the door access code
Look at the TV and image what numbers would be behind the red circles
A little trial and error if you need it will get you the code
Turn right and click the door -- you’re out!

Turn right and note you need a code for the table

Move the red books to get the scissors

Turn right
Look at your three hint pages and see that you need to note the letters that are in the same positions on both of the grids
Do this and you get the clue ARTTE
Unscramble them and get treat
Enter this into the toolbox and get the pliers
Use the pliers with the hanger to get a long hook
Use the hook to get the mailbox
Look at your cat treat bag in your inventory and use the scissors on it
Get the postcard
Combine the postcard with the mailbox, use the hook to get the mailbox back, and then use cat punch to get the new hint from Wan
See the order of the numbers that you will get from the pages of the green animal book
6 goats, 9 rabbits, 1 koala, and 2 boars
Enter the numbers in the door and you are out!

• Read the dialog boxes and check out the map.
• Notice the door is blocked, take the torch on the right that isn’t lit.
• Light the torch with one of the lit torches, then light the torch that isn’t lit and put the torch away.
• After the door opens walk inside.
• Turn right then move forward and light both torches. You will reveal a clue.
• Turn around and then move forward twice. You will come to a dial on the wall.
• Move the dials to equal LVL – the clue on the wall.
• Turn back around and move forward two times and then left. The gate has been lifted.
• Move forward and you will run into a snake! Use your whip to scare it away.
• Move forward and notice the blocks with symbols on them. You will need this in a moment.
• Move forward, then left and you will see a large stone. Move the stone until it can’t move any more and it will reveals a hole.
• You need some rope so move forward and you will find another gate. In this room is a block that is slightly lighter colored than the rest, on the left behind the pillar. Click it and it will reveal some rope.
• Move backward and then forward and turn around to view the hole you uncovered.
• Attach the rope and move down the hole.
• You are presented with a stone that has 3 slots, and 6 stones lying on the floor.
• The solution to this puzzle is in the room with the 3 large stones that had symbols.
• You have to place the same three stones into the slots in any order.
• After placing the stones, head up and move forward to find the gate has been lifted.
• Move forward and light both torches, you will need them in a few minutes.
• Move left then forward three times. You will be in front of a pool of water and a statue.
• The statue has a nice color pattern – Turquoise – red – Yellow remember this!
• Head down the water and notice you have about 40 seconds before you are forced out of the water. You can explore on your own and look for the 3 different colored crystals and levers underneath.
• Once you go down the object is to flip the levers in order, turquoise, red, yellow to do this head down, forward, left, right, forward, right, forward flip the lever next to the turquoise crystal. Then turn around and move forward, left, forward, forward, left and flip the lever next to the red crystal. Turn around move right, right, forward, right, then forward and flip the final switch and then you can wait for your air to run out or turn around and move forward, left, left and then up.
• After you have successfully flipped all 3 levers and are facing the water, turn around and move forward, the door is now open.
• Enter into the door, notice the locked door ahead, move left and you will find a room with strange things on the floor. Press the 3 small buttons and three pillars will raise. This not only lifts the pillars but unlocks the crystals under water.
• Turn around then turn right and then turn around again, move forward to return to the entrance to the water. Go down and gather all 3 crystals, you can take your time now!
• Once you exit the water, turn around and then move forward, forward, forward, then right. Now turn, forward, then right. Now turn around and light your torch which went out when you went under water.
• Turn left then forward, forward and enter the door. Turn left and you are back to the 3 pillars with turquoise, red and yellow on the tops. This puzzle requires you to place each of the 3 colored crystals into the correct slot for that color.
• Once you have placed the crystals the door will open and the pillars will lower.
• Move through the door and collect the disk on the wall.
• Move forward 2 times to end up in a room with torches on the wall. This puzzle requires you to light the correct torches to open the door. The solution to this puzzle is on the back of the large stone you moved to reveal the hole that you found earlier. If you don’t remember this clue, head back and take a look at the back of the stone.
• Here is a diagram of the correct torches to light, Light the torches with X’s and not the ones with O’s

• If you light the wrong torches you can leave the room and come back and they will reset.
• After you have lit the correct torches and the door has opened move through collect the disk on the wall and move forward two times.
• You are in a room with 4 blocks on the ground and a locked door. If you look closely at the back wall there are 6 bricks that can be pressed. Move slowly over the bricks and you will find them. After you press all 6 the door will open.
• Move through the door to find a stone statue with something missing. Turn around and you will find the cog along with markings on the block. This is a clue for a puzzle to come. But first turn around and place the cog into the stone statue and press the cog to turn it 4 times. The stone will lower into the ground and now you can pass through the gate in the next hallway.
• Move forward, take the disk on the wall and move forward again. You will be in a room with 6 pillars. Each pillar will lower when touched. The solution to this puzzle is to press the 3 blocks as shown on the clue from the block. Top left, middle right and bottom left.
• After pressing the blocks to bring them to the correct level, a center pillar will raise. Take the disk from the pillar.
• Turn around and move forward until you reach the room with the door on the left, this door was previously locked but now is open. Enter into the room.
• You will find a closed gate with two unlit torches. Light each torch to bring up 4 stone statues. Place the colored disks into the slots that have the same colors on the statue. The gate will open.
• Move forward and click the treasure!
• Congratulations! You found the treasure..
